After four years of tireless dedication as our much-loved Program Director, Quin Hussey left PTBi earlier this month to become the Assistant Dean for Students at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health.
While all of us on staff, our community partners and advisory boards will miss Quin terribly, we are excited to announce that Alexis Cobbins, PTBi’s Associate Director, is now serving as Interim Program Director.
Prior to joining PTBi, Alexis served for three years on PTBi’s Community Advisory Board for three years. She has over a decade of experience working with and for Black women and their families through her work at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, the San Francisco Human Services Agency and the San Francisco Black Infant Health program. Alexis also has a Master’s of Social Work degree from CSU, East Bay. She became interested in working on preterm birth issues after experiencing her own preterm labor and delivery.
