Infants born prematurely face a host of challenges during the time of hospitalization, through the transition process from hospital to home, and then, once stabilized, at home. At this month's Collaboratory we're excited to host a panel discussion on the Special Start Neonatal Follow-Up Program. Unlike some models of home visiting, Special Start prioritizes a family-driven approach dependent on a strong relationship between caregivers and an empathetic home visitor. Join us in a discussion on an important longstanding intervention to reduce the burden of preterm birth.
Collaboratories are free to the public and UCSF community, with remote access (Zoom) tickets also available.
